MEET YOUR ADVISOR

Strategic guidance, from start to finish

For 12 years I sat where you’re sitting — confused, overwhelmed, and navigating a system that was never designed to support the people inside it. Four custody battles. Five trials. Dozens of hearings. Over $130,000 in legal fees. I wasn’t just a bystander. I had to fight my way through every stage of it.

At the same time, I was rebuilding my professional life — spending nearly two decades in corporate communications, leading high-stakes campaigns for Fortune 500 clients and learning how organizations protect what matters most under pressure. What I learned in the boardroom sharpened everything I brought into the courtroom.

What I walked away with was something no degree could have given me: a firsthand understanding of every gap, every silence, and every moment of confusion that family court clients experience but rarely have the words or courage to describe.

That’s why I built Divody® Group. Not from some theory, but from the inside out.

Today, I serve as a mentor and advocate for anyone navigating the family court system. I am a trusted voice for clients who need someone who has truly walked the path, attorneys who want to understand what their clients are really experiencing, and advocates who need practical tools to go further for the survivors they serve.

I’m also an author. My book, I Do, Solemnly Swear, was written for the person I was when I needed it most — and couldn’t find it anywhere.

Faith anchors everything I do. I believe restoration is possible. I believe you can come out of this stronger than you went in. And I believe no one should have to navigate this alone.

That’s not a tagline. That’s why I show up every single day.

I felt understood

“My experience with Alvie made me feel extremely comfortable. She was able to put all my questions into one answer which was very relieving. I really appreciate the resources she provided to me during my custody situation. I literally felt like she understood me and was patient during our session. I plan to have another one with her.”

Witness stand prep

“Alvie was compassionate, experienced and helped me have a clearer perspective on my court hearings and situation. She also was clear about her knowledge from experience and not just saying what I want to hear, but gracefully telling me the reality of the court systems. Her own experience in how to conduct myself behind the stand was extremely helpful because I have gone through it and felt so pressured to answer in a certain way.”

Down to earth and empathetic

“My session with Alvie gave me another perspective on my situation and invited God into the situation in a way I really appreciated. Alvie was down to earth and empathetic. I felt truly heard and encouraged using mainly the truth of God’s word. She was very knowledgeable and able to give good insight based upon her experiences.”
