PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM

The Standing Advocate™

Giving Advocates the footing to help others stand in Family Court.

Transformative family court training programs that equip the advocates closest to the work.

Your team knows how to support survivors. The Standing Advocate™ is designed to extend that support.

When a survivor enters the family court system, a new threat emerges that safety planning alone cannot address. The Standing Advocate™ is a three-module training series that extends advocate capacity across the full family court journey, equipping frontline advocates, caseworkers, and family services professionals with the tools to prepare clients for court outcomes.

The Three-Module Curriculum

Before. During. After. The Standing Advocate™ covers the full family court journey.

MODULE 1

Beyond Safety Planning

Preparing Clients for Court

Advocates are trained to help survivors get safe, but family court is a different battlefield. This module provides advocates with practical tools to reduce harm, build client resilience, and prevent premature decisions that cost survivors the most.

MODULE 2

Beyond the Filing

Supporting clients all the way through

Once a case is active, participants face legal traps they don’t see coming. This module equips advocates to close the knowledge gap by helping clients show up prepared, understand their power, and avoid the critical mistakes that shift outcomes.

MODULE 3

Beyond the Ruling

Rebuilding with clients after court

When the gavel comes down, the work isn’t over. This module provides advocates with a post-court framework covering rights, court-order compliance, recourse, and practical rebuilding support for career, co-parenting, and community.

Built from experience. Designed for outcomes.

Alvie McNair

Founder, Divody® Group

Divody® Group is a curated collective built for one purpose: to support individuals and families navigating the family court system with full-scope support and coordinated expertise.

Alvie McNair is a survivor of domestic and court abuse who spent over a decade navigating family court litigation. She gained firsthand insight into the systemic gaps that impact survivor outcomes. With a corporate background as an executive in corporate communications and business operations, she now translates her lived experience in family court into structured frameworks that help advocates, attorneys, and service providers better prepare for and support families before, during, and after court involvement.

Her work is grounded in one truth: the system never equipped her for what the family court system actually requires. The Standing Advocate™ exists to change that — for every organization standing alongside families walking through family court.
